What is Neck and Back Pain?
Back and neck pain are common health conditions that can be treated or improved with early diagnosis. Back pain can be acute or chronic. Acute back pain comes on suddenly, while chronic pain lasts for weeks, months, or years. The pain can be continuous or intermittent. Back pain can limit mobility and impair normal functioning and quality of life.
Neck pain generally originates from the cervical vertebrae and can be referred to other parts or the whole spine. Neck pain is often the result of excessive tension in the neck muscles, which may be caused by stress and improper posture. It can range from an ache or dull pain to a sharp, stabbing type of pain.
